I just came across this great 'behind the scenes' video of the new Portland Collection for Pendleton. I know I've already blogged about how much I love this collection but seeing the mills and the design process makes me really excited. The giant rolls of woolen fabrics make my heart skip a beat!
It's been too hot to knit or sew anything so I've been making friendship bracelets in the evening heat. It was perfect timing when I stumbled upon grainline studio's friendship bracelet swap! It's going to be so much fun! My new bracelet buddy is in Spain and I'm excited to send her one of the bracelets from my new stash.
I've also been practicing new designs from my Japanese friendship bracelet book. I think this this one is my favorite so far. I like all the angles.
My sister was in town last weekend and we took her to see the Jim Henson Exhibit out in Queens. It was amazing! Jim Henson captured my heart as a child and inspires me now as an adult. We saw a screening of 'Muppets 101' which detailed Jim Henson and the start of the Muppets. They showed the original pitch film sent to CBS for the Muppet Show and I can't get it out of my head. This clip made me laugh so hard.

Oh it's so good. I highly recommend a trip if you're in the city. The exhibit runs through the fall and I will probably be out there again. Maybe to catch a screening of 'Muppets Take Manhattan' ...

When the husband treats me to a home made dinner ... and when I treat myself to a glass of wine. Mmmmmmm. Now it's time to watch the last True Blood disc and enjoy the evening.
